PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Latvia Residence by Investment Program

Latvia launched its Residence by Investment Program in 2010, becoming one of the earlier European countries to introduce residency options for foreign investors.

The program allows eligible applicants to obtain Latvian residency through qualifying investments in real estate or business share capital. Successful applicants receive a residence permit that provides access to Latvia and visa-free travel within the Schengen Area.

The program is often chosen by investors looking for a relatively straightforward European residency option with moderate investment requirements and access to the EU region.

Applications may also include close family members, including a spouse and dependent children under the age of 18.

PROGRAM ADVANTAGES

Benefits of Latvia Residency by Investment

Residents can live in Latvia and may also access local education and business opportunities within the country.

01

Initial Assessment

UNO Capital reviews the applicant’s profile and carries out a preliminary review before the process begins. This stage helps identify any potential concerns early and confirms the most suitable investment route.
02

Document Preparation

Applicants begin gathering the required documents, including identity records, proof of funds, and supporting paperwork linked to the investment. Documents may need certification and translation depending on the issuing country.

03

Investment Completion

The qualifying investment is completed under the selected route. This may include investment into a Latvian company or the purchase of qualifying real estate.
04

Application Submission

Applications may be submitted either through a Latvian embassy abroad or directly with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs in Latvia.
05

Approval & Travel to Latvia

Once approval is issued, applicants may need to obtain a D visa if required for entry into Latvia. Investors and eligible family members must then travel to Latvia to continue the final stages of the process.
06

Biometrics & Medical Requirements

Applicants complete biometric submission, medical formalities where required, and final administrative procedures with the Latvian authorities.
07

Residence Permit Card Collection
